almost over...

well, august is almost over, not the best month of the year, but it's been fun.

bambi got angry to me this morning, what the hell did i do wrong? he was the one who was so eager to play basketball at 4 in the morning then he blames me for not waking up early, then makes an issue on me being late always...

men! they're as hard to understand as the universe...

by the way i haven't visited space.com for months now, its been one of my favourite sites on the web, but ironically, my interest waned after bambi bought me a telescope...

the moon was fantastic tonight especially at 6pm, it is yellow and big, and the sky is cloudless (as it always is), great for moon and star watching... but our rooftop is dirty, it would be nicer to bring the telescope to the park and wait til dark but i'm afraid it's not safe... maybe we will just send it to manila, then dream about star-gazing at our grandmother's rooftop. nice.

bambi starlight is on seef mall until 12 am. so i have no one to talk to tonight... better sleep early.

ate tina and i just finished taking photographs of levendome hotel (which kinda stinks) and no limits fashion which rocks and we went to this cute shop beside them and we discovered really cute wristwatches and weird punked necklaces... unfortunately its not payday yet, they said it's gonna be on the fifth, oh my gosh how am i gonna live until sunday?

anyways, we were on our way home when i saw the moon... it's hanging low on the horizon and has a yellowish charm on everything beside it, i tried my best to take a photo of it..

isn't it romantic? makes me miss my starlight more...

gosh im so broke

good thing its the 28th, my only money is the 250 fils thats left of my allowance last week. i can't even buy a sandwich! our cold store is the best, they let us have credits so there's no problem on our daily food supply...

anyways i just remembered something, we were on our way home last thursday night, on nishan's van (bambi's transpo) and we were chatting with kuya dom when nishan suddenly stopped.

we thought he was sleepy again because that's how he is when he's sleepy, stopping occasionally, then when someone taps him he suddenly steps on the accelerator.

then we saw one man lying on the street, with no tshirt, while another man beside him signals cars to step aside, and a minibus full of ogling people, we were shocked, was there an accident???

so nishan and kuya dom rushed to the scene, shouting, "what are you doing there, making signals???" "bring that man to the hospital!!!"

hehe, then the man moved, and smiled.

the stupid bengali, he was drunk that's why he was lying on the ground! the man doing traffic signs was the driver of the minibus who helped for fear that some drivers might not see the lying man on the street. we were so relieved we drove off laughing...

i was walking to work this morning, late again as usual, and this gray two-door car stopped to make way for me, to just step on the accelerator when i was about to pass. THOSE STUPID TEENAGERS!!!
they're like dumb apes, like they've never seen a girl before, shouting, spitting, speeding, i've heard they don't want foreigners here, boy am i gonna laugh when all that's left here are those kind of people! if right now it's like stepping on a time travelling machine, what more if we will leave them by themselves haha! i was really angry i shouted "what's your problem, f*(&er???"
those teenagers are morons, idiotic bleeding imbeciles!!!

i was so damn busy this morning that when i went home at noontime, i was fast asleep. i woke up 7.30pm, just enough time to prepare for the draw. (sigh) why do i have to go to the draw???

im just gonna chill this weekend because i know come saturday it'll be crazy again!

those cheerleading days

i was never really a cheerleader, but i took it as my P.E. in my second semester in Lyceum, then i never continued it on my third... (hehe, actually bambi never allowed me).

and when i have nothing to do at home and bambi isn't there i just play with photoshop, like this picture of kirsten dunst i made like a cartoon, which needed some tutorials from the internet, but it came out pretty ok.



when i dowloaded the divx codec i remembered this movie that karim downloaded for me, it never played on our pc before, but now that we have the codec we tried to play it, and then the addiction began... for bambi, that is. he is such a film addict, just any feel-good film he will watch over and over again, like the american wedding, and harry potter 3.

yesterday ate tina and i went to toys r us to take pictures, and bambi was just in seef mall, i actually had the temptation to stay there til midnight but i have the camera with me and i've got to return it to the office unless i want to be scolded again hehe...

then we saw chili's which was near seef mall and toys r us, so i asked ate tina to try include chili's in our participating shops, and when we got there, i took this pix.



but her manager-friend had to go so she didn't get to talk about the participating thing, instead, we ate the triple plate something, and i was so full, i was feeling sleepy (which depresses me because it means i have a slow metabolism, so slow that when i eat, my stomach actually needs a lot of energy to focus on digesting) then they gave us this complimentary dessert, the molten brownie ice cream whatever, i wanted to eat more but couldn't, i was so sad because we just left it there half-eaten...

but even though i couldn't fit into my other jeans (again, for the second time since i got here, the first one i tried exercising then i wore it again, this time it wouldn't fit me again) my weight is still 115 lbs. it never changes. maybe there's something wrong with that scale!!?!

that's my lowest weight since i went to dubai, i probably left manila 2 years ago weighing just 100, so now it scares me.

anyways today is winner's posters day, and im running out of poster ideas, i just made it plain but colorful... i haven't talked to anyone in the philippines in about a month, i wonder what's happening to them now... i had no money left i couldn't call. and they're not calling either.

i just love the afternoons here, its always sunny. maybe because it's my thing with the sun, its my lucky star, you know... so i tend to just gaze at the sunshine for hours... i did it last friday, and it made me so homesick just remembering those times when we just hung out at my grandmother's rooftop all afternoon drinking sodas and eating whatever our money could afford... talking about nonsense or just staring at our neighborhood, its like the no-worry days, just school. and allowance. crushes.

maybe 5 years from now i'll also think about how easy my problems right now are, when right now they seem so big...

power shortage

by the time i left home we still have it, but by the time i arrived at the office, the door wouldn't open, no ac, no mac, no telephone...

good morning bahrain, we have an unannounced power shortage... in the middle of summer...

i wouldn't mind a power shortage, or a brown-out, tawag namin pag walang kuryente sa pilipinas, because even if its dark at night, there are loads of people on the streets, talking, playing in the moonlight... but here, in the middle of the arabian deserts! i would understand it but cant they please do that in winter??? its so hot outside, and there's no difference inside.

so what we did, we just chatted about food, because kuya jun is going to the philippines in september so the discussion is about the yummiest food on the streets, the restaurants, chicharon, isaw, jollibee... (sigh) i wish i could have a vacation...

then around 11 they told me to take pictures of possible draw locations around Bahrain, and man, was i happy to feel the ac of the car....

when i got back we ate icecreams while they smoked at the back of the office, then i took some photos of my bored officemates to make time pass...

they let us go home about 15 minutes to 12, and by the time i arrived at our doorstep, i went straight to the bathroom to take my second bath. but it was so hot i wasn't even out of the bathroom i was perspiring again! coke was the absolute answer... with some ice left in the fridge, bambi and me sat near the windows and waited for the sun to go down.

his boss called and cancelled his duty (lucky guy!) so by 4:30 we went to the office to check if some staff went, but it was still empty, what will you do in the office if there's no power anyway,

so we called kuya dom and we went to the breakwater park near our place..

the sunset is just so amazing, and the water is so clear... bambi and kuya dom went 2 look for little crabs, and played with a little girl until it was dark enough... no wonder he doesn't gainwight, he's so makulit!

and our luck...
we were discussing about the problems of sleeping without ac, and we were near my building when.. there, in the middle of the street, the lights began to shine, hehe...

we had to go back to the dolphin park because the photos we took yesterday were, uh, not too good. we were suppose to go at 4:30 in the afternoon. but my stupid sleeping habit woke me up at 4:35! aside from the fact that we have office in the afternoon, i was sooo late, good thing geovana wasn't there yet, we actually went around 5 pm, and we had to wait a while before the show starts..

the sad thing is, i've found out that they don't get to eat anything unless they're performing on the show, so they do all the tricks just so they they can eat. that's sad, imagine, you can only eat until you finish your master's orders...

dolphins and horses

this beluga whale is so big, you'd be scared to come near...

we went to dolpin park this afternoon, and i saw the very first beluga whale in my life, up close! it was so big, i'd be scared swimming with it (you pay BD10 and you can swim with them) but the sad thing is, they have scars on their heads, and they look lonely, probably because the shore is just a few metres away from them, and the water is dirty. they also have a seacow, or an otter, i don't know what its called, its so noisy, but its alone and its water is dark and smelly too, kawawa naman sya.

then we went to the stables, they're also going to participate with us, and they have at least 26 huge horses, and there's one, awir, who has a thing of moving its head up and down, i really think something's wrong with that horse, but its handsome (i don't know in what sense, geovana just said it was) and by that time shaima was with us already...

i felt sticky after the trip, i really needed a bath, and i was so hungry...

so today we're going to the skating rink to take pictures, at least it won't be smelly there...

just watched pirates of the caribbean, kuya jun lent me his dvd, which, saved us about P1300 just watching it in the cinema here, and would you believe it, the most numbers of people i had seen inside the cinema is about 15... yup, and that is peak hours.

johnny depp is undeniably one of the greatest actors of our time. i've read it was his decision to dress and act like that, he said 'jack sparrow' has so much character, he couldn't stop himself and his creativity to flow out. his portrayal is just awesome, really! he also had to deal with 'whisperings' and doubts from his producers but (i really dig this line) he said, "I remember I had two more gold teeth, and there were a few that wanted them gone…in fact, wanted them all gone. And they wanted the braids in my beard gone, and they wanted a lot of the trinkets and things gone. I just basically said, 'I respect you guys. I'll compromise to some degree, which means I'll take two teeth out. Cool. But anything beyond that, I feel, is compromising the integrity of the character, and I'm not willing to do that. You've got to trust me. You've got to let me do what you hired me to do, and if you're not happy with doing that, then you've got to replace me."

bambi said he watched it on the plane, so that made me one year late in watching it since it was released, am i? he tried so hard not to tell me what's going to happen next... we finished watching it around 4am.

and i was late again today. but bitoy gave me a compliment on the brochure i made, funny how artworks made in a rush seem beautiful to them, when some artworks i focus on needs a LOT of amendments. it happened to kuya jun and papa also. i guess it's a creative thing, you know, when you're in a rush all you have is your instinct, no time for reasons...

i also borrowed the last samurai, it was so sad, i dont to elaborate anymore.
...it made me cry while watching it.

on a happier note, i am going to save (really) starting this month so we can go to dubai in january! i missed last year's shopping festival and i'm not going to miss it again. bambi will sure drop his jaw when he sees all the rides there, its just awesome! i hope we have a videocam by that time, even a camera will do. i got all the numbers of the hotels and hotel/apartments in dubai, and im making a canvass whether we'll take sharjah plane or straight to dubai, i was told sharjah plane tickets are cheaper, and since i know the vicinity im sure we won't be lost even if we land in abu dhabi. or even al ain. i just hope bambi has hisgcc license by that time, it's so much easier having your own car than taking taxis. there's a mobile geant is selling right now that has free roundtrip ticket to dubai, unfortunately i don't have money right now, and the ticket is valid for 3 months from aug 31 only. but isn't it great? a free ticket with your mobile!

so much for dreaming...

the administrator has a fever. the f4 fever.

well, kind of late to have that fever, but still, mr.-i-hate-f4-they-suck! has finally joined the federation...hehehe, will you all please welcome bambi starlight!!! sabi ko sa kanya susumbong ko sya sa nanay nya e, nakikipag-agawan pa ng channel (coz he want slamdunk and his mother wants to watch meteor garden, they always race to the television each day) tapos ngayon manonood din pala sya!

but this f4-hater-im-not-addicted-to-meteor-garden just didn't sleep last night watching episodes 1-18 never minding the chinese audio and just reading the sublines. he finally bowed down to the chinovela's charm and funny-romantic story!

the codec i downloaded last night worked, unfortunately its chinese dialogue. but that's not why i looked so hard for that, i just want to hear the background music, and that's enough for me. would you believe i watched the whole series and im on mg2 already when i noticed on the divx movie i needed that tag 353 to have audio? i think i found it on free-codecs.com. i don't remember. i just searched google for some free codecs. now i have to watch it all over again to hear it...

anyways so there, kagabi, after doing my most wonderful accomplishment (i cooked!), the "chinese hot and spicy chicken" na nakita ko lan sa internet here's the site and since basic lang ang mga ingredients nya i tried it and would you believe it pagdating ni bambi sabi nya "tang-ina and sarap!"
that made me smile, because hindi naman ako marunong magluto 3 months before, and now i can cook something i usually see at some restaurant's menu hehe! my specialty, however, is chicken asado. i cant wait to cook pagdating ko sa pilipinas! and next is the beefsteak,and...

wait! were talking about meteor garden here, so yun na nga,i was watching the 4th episode sa pc when he noticed it was what he hated, but while eating, he got so into the series that even when i slept, and until i woke up, he's still watching metoer garden! now he can't bully me again for humming that opening and ending song coz he's doing it himself! haha

fast fact: would you believe meteor garden was a manga before? yeah, like slam dunk, it was a comic book (am i right?) before and now they did a tv version and have the f4 band and big s as stars, now you wouldn't wonder its a hit! i never knew that before. i wish they would do a person-version of slam dunk though, it would be great, and you know what? i think hua ze lei would just pass to be rukawa hahaha!

long time ago...

wow, its been a long time since my last blog (a week i think), im so damn busy i can't make even a simple post. and since you can't count on kiko to post here, well, never mind. newsflash... we did well in the launching of Lulu 3, kiko was the unofficial photographer of the night, and unfortunately my stupid mac is crashing i can't copy the files here at home, there's no picture to show yet, but i'll upload it soon. it was in taj palace, a new hotel here in bahrain, though not as grand as, well, manila pen, the whole affair was ok. most of the staff were there, except kuya jun because he has basketball game which, i remembered, kiko begged to join into, but it was too late, so he might join inter-kulay instead... he misses basketball a lot!
i heard one song this morning (i don't listen to the radio here much because it's so late, even the cinema!) and ive heard the corr's.



kinda reminded me of the irish invasion presented by mtv when i was in college (it included westlife of course)



so i guess the corrs are back again, i like their song, and since its still summer here, its coincidentally matches with the weather hehe! i wish i could upload that song here, but since i still can't figure out that music encoding thing (or whatever it's called) well, things will be quiet. i've done a lot of surfing these days... for the audio codec tag 353 which will give sounds to the meteor garden files i have (ive been watching it without sounds since i had the 1st series, and now im on the 8th series on the second season, and im still reading the sublines!) so i found out i needed this codec which will decompress the audio, and am i glad i found it to be free!
anyways, im happy that the counter registered 200+ when i checked it today... but one seems to be interested on the guestbook or forums, its still empty (apart from d_i_y_o_s_a's posts) i hope some people contributes some posts there... (can't have everything, huh?)
so there it is, our first blog post in a week... bambi talked to his brother and father last week, hello to you all! he's so happy he almost cried while chatting with them... i hope kuya dong will read this and send some pictures of all his family members and send it to our email so someone here won't be homesick from dusk tildawn. wait, i think it will make him more homesick, anyways, its better to see those pictures anyways, i don't even know what JimCarl looks like! bambi talks so much about him, but i cant figure out his face (i just pictured him to look like kiko when he was young).
so i hope someone hears my plea... magparamdam naman kayo!

new- a calendar to remind everybody

its my birthday tomorrow.... and i took a two-day off (from my annual leave) because i don't want to be harassed by work on my 22nd birthday... which is what has been happening this past few days. but i tried to finish all my pending jobs (see my calendar) so i hope it will be 2 days before the amendments starts coming, and then it's crazy on the creative department again hehe...
i never got to buy myself a present (it was sacrificed for a much-needed cause you know) but then bambi si going to buy me something so its ok...
my sister greeted me already (the earliest, hoping i will rememberer light blue) and my father called (we have the same birthday, so how could he forget) and the rest haven't noticed the calendar yet.
i will try to add a message forum, where we can all discuss problems, ghost stories, anything at all and everybody can participate, so i hope it will attract more visitors. hey, have you notice, its 92 already, and its just a week after i put that counter, it's so amazing seeing those numbers, it makes me smile...
